Polar Vortex Game Convention supports and recognizes all College of DuPage polices.
Be considerate of non-convention guests of the College of DuPage.
It is permissible to eat in the convention area. However you must utilize the available recycle and garbage receptacles as your mother most likely will not be attending the convention; so pick up after yourself and make her proud!

Ethics & Conduct
This is a family friendly event and common courtesy is expected from our attendees. Drunkenness, excessive rudeness, and overuse of profanity will not be accepted. Convention management reserves the right to deny entry or remove any person from the event behaving in a manner which event management considers disruptive.

All of the following constitute grounds for expulsion from the convention without refund:

  • Violating any federal, state, or local laws, facility rules or convention policies
  • Failure to comply with the instructions of staff or C.O.D. personnel
  • Using anything in a threatening or destructive manner against person or property
  • Endangering the safety of oneself or others
  • Threatening, stealing, cheating or harassing others

Lost & Found
Lost and Found will be located at the Registration Desk until 4:00 Sunday. If you have lost an item, please check with the Registration Desk. We will make attempts to discover ownership of lost items, and may ask for assistance in this matter.

Costumes and Weapons
While costumes are not discouraged, no weapons of any kind, either real or life-like are allowed. This includes any such items the convention staff deems inappropriate such as blades, boffo weapons; and non-medical canes, staves or walking sticks.

Polar Vortex Game Convention welcomes families. However, the convention does not offer child care services, nor will convention staff or volunteers take responsibility for minors. So, parents please remember that you are responsible for your children and younger teens. Please keep them in sight at all times.

Be forewarned: unattended children may be sold off to goblins or eaten by kobolds…
Adventurers may be available for retrieval for the right coin.
